Home Security Systems - How To Choose the Right One For Your Needs

Home Security Systems - How To Choose the Right One For Your Needs

Security System

It is 2:30 a.m. and you were sleeping soundly in your bed. Your husband is away on a business trip. Suddenly you are jarred from slumber by the sound of glass breaking. You immediately spring up thinking of your children sleeping down the hall. Practically paralyzed with fear you summon the courage to open your bedroom door and immediately see a man coming up the stairs straight towards you. Sounds like one of the spine-tingling movies that you have seen previews for, right? Not this time. It is something that happens more often than we would like to think. Home break-ins are on the rise. According to FBI statistics, 23% of home break-ins occur at a first floor window and 22% are at a back door. The Department of Justice reports over 3 million break-ins in the United States in an average year.

What can we do to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our possessions? One thing to think seriously about is installing a home security system. These systems have become quite affordable recently and there are lots of places to find them. If you have the skill to install your own system, there are online stores that you can order from. Also most larger retail stores have simple systems that come with instructions on how to install them. From sensors that are installed on windows and doors with alarms that sound when these sensors are breached to cameras that can be installed virtually anywhere there are systems for the protection you need. Some cameras come with monitors so that you have a first hand look at any area outside your home. If not, you can purchase the monitor separately. They also have recorders so that all activity is monitored and recorded to a tape for preserving your proof that a break-in did occur. There are keypad security systems that can be set when you leave or at night so that if someone else attempts entry an alarm will sound and the police or a monitoring company can be called. If you want to get even fancier, there are entry devices that will only open to your palm print.

If you are not a handy person and would prefer to leave this to the professionals, there are several methods to utilize to find the right home or business security system that could quite possibly save your life. There are numerous security stores online, in the yellow pages, and word of mouth is one of the best ways to find a company that you feel comfortable with and can trust your needs to. Talk to family, friends, and co-workers to find out how they rate someone they have dealt with.

With home burglaries, company break-ins, and even our children being kidnapped from their beds, the wisest decision you can make today is to either purchase or have a home security system installed for the protection of your family. We all hear about it on a daily basis and tend to fall into that "It can't happen to me" syndrome. However, it can happen and the best offense is a good defense.

Con Air (Movie) allotment 7/11 On YouTube.

Former war hero Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) is sentenced to eight years in prison when he accidentally kills a man in a barroom brawl while defending his pregnant wife. When his release comes through, he's eager to see the daughter he's never met. However, Poe's original flight is delayed, so he's put aboard a flight transporting ten of the most dangerous men in the American penal system to a new high-security facility. One of the criminals, Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich), is a serial killer and insane genius who has hatched a diabolical plot: with the help of several other hoods, including Diamond Dog (Ving Rhames), Johnny 23 (Daniel Trejo), and Garland Greene (Steve Buscemi), Cyrus and his men will hijack the plane and fly to a neutral nation where they can live as free men. Poe finds himself stuck in the middle; he has to find a way to get home, keep himself alive, look after his cellmate Baby-O (Mykelti Williamson), who will die without proper medicine, and try to help the cops on the ground, including agent Vince Larkin (John Cusack).

Minecraft - High Security Bank System

Minecraft - High Security Bank System Video Clips.

This is my High Security Bank System design in Minecraft. It uses a 9 digit PIN Number and has 3 users. It can easily be expanded to more than three users, but the more users you add, the more delay you get for retrieving your cart. This consists of 3 order sensitive combination locks wired into one panel. Each number uses a button and has an RS-NOR Latch to cause the current to be remembered. The output of each of the RS-NOR Latches is hooked up to and inverter then to an AND Gate. Once the PIN is correct and the user button is pressed, you will get you cart. This design probably could easily be made smaller, but I wanted it to be easy to make and understand. Thanks. Security Alarm Monitoring - What It's Really Worth

Security Alarm Monitoring - What It's Really Worth

Security System

A gigantic industry has grown up around the off-site central station monitoring of burglary and fire alarm systems. In fact, many security dealers dedicate 100% of their available resources to installing as many monitored accounts as they can. Many of these systems are put-in with little or no upfront costs even though the total costs for parts and labor for the average home alarm system are well over $ 400.00.

Why would a dealer dedicate so much of his time giving away and then installing monitored security systems? The answer is Monthly Re-Occurring Revenue (MRR), which is simply the fee that is associated with monitoring your security system.

You see, the contract that they make you sign is worth money. Just like the cellular phone industry, your contractual obligation with the provider allows them to subsidize the upfront costs of the installation. You really did not think that new cell phone cost $ 29.00 did you?

You see, there is really no such thing as a free security system. With monthly fees reaching upwards of $ 35.00 or more with a 3-year contractual obligation, you are committing to pay the dealer $ 1,260.00 for that free security system.

Fifteen or twenty years ago, most towns of any size had a few locally owned Central Stations. These Central Stations were usually the heart of a thriving alarm company that had a dedicated sales and service force that created and maintained their customer base.

The value of alarm companies is at least partly based on the total amount of Monthly Re-Occurring Revenue that they are able to generate. Imagine a medium sized company that charges $ 25.00 for alarm monitoring every month. Now imagine that company has 5,000 customers. That company is now generating $ 125,000.00 per month which is equal to 1.5 Million Dollars in Annual Re-Occurring Revenue.

The purchase price of most companies is roughly based on 3-½ times their annual revenue, which would make our example company worth over 5-Million Dollars. As you can guess, with alarm monitoring worth so much, many of the family run alarm companies cashed out long ago.

Through a series of acquisitions and mergers, most of the Security and Fire Alarm Systems in the United States are now monitored by a handful of Super-Sized Central Stations. Many of these Mega-Stations have hundreds of highly trained alarm dispatchers that handle thousands of alarms from all over the country.

Now, let's go back to that local installer toiling day in and day out to give away and Install Security Systems. He can afford to give you that alarm system because he is selling the contract to one of these Super-Sized Central Stations. Depending on your credit score and the term of the contract, he will collect anywhere from 25 to 40 times the monthly fee for turning over the contract. If it cost him $ 300.00 for the equipment and another $ 100.00 for the labor and you singed a 3-year contract at $ 30.00 a month, he will probably make about $ 650.00 for giving you that free security system.

So what is that security monitoring really worth? If you consider that an army of well equipped and trained dispatchers are standing by to dispatch the appropriate authorities to your home or business and it costs less than the price of a soda every day, it really can be worth every penny.

--SUBSCRIBE TO EXCELLENT World War II VIDEOS---- --UPLOADED Weekly--- Videos Running Time 00:49:00 in 5 Parts TANKS!: The Battle of Normandy D-Day (Operation Overlord) was the culmination of 2 years of planning, training and preparation. It was the answer to the USSRs pleadings for 2 years. By the time of the D-Day landings, the USSR had pushed the Whermacht back into Poland. The Western Allies would tie down 25-30% of the Whermacht and assist the USSR in the complete ruin of Nazi Germany. The D-Day plan is quite possibly the best planned invasion in history. Much of the credit is owed to the experiences of the British Armed Forces against their respected foe. The selection of Normandy, as the landing zone was chosen by British Lt.Gen Morgan. General Montgomery insisted that 5 divisions invade Normandy rather than three. The enigma decrypts and the British double cross system, of turning German agents sent to Britain, completely fooled German Intelligence (Abwehr) and SS SD (Sicherheitsdienst). By June 6th, 1944, German intelligence relied on 38+ agents in Britain for most of their human pre-invasion intelligence. These agents were either British SIS (Security Information Service) handlers, turned German agents or fictitious agents created by British intelligence. Some in British intelligence became suspicious that the plan was working too well. The British and Canadian forces experience at Dieppe, was a blessing in disguise, despite the terrible casualties sustained by ...

Home Security Systems - A Focus On The Security Camera

Home Security Systems - A Focus On The Security Camera

Security System

Reaching your house and then finding out that there has been an intrusion or an invasion of your home criminally is one of the worst things that would ever happen to your life. A lot of these instances have been happening a lot all over the world and in order to keep your home secure whether you and your family are there inside the house or are away, you should consider the installation of home security systems a good example is a security camera.

Installing a home security camera would give you a sense of security. Installing other home security systems aside from the security camera is of course a better idea if you have the money. Thanks to the fact that technology is becoming more and more affordable, home security cameras are considered to be one of the most affordable home security systems out in the market, not to mention the fact that the said cameras are proven to be effective in discouraging criminal intrusions into your home. Because of its affordability and effectiveness, a security camera installed in the home has gained popularity.

Studies have shown that the number one barrier in terms of burglaries and crimes would be the installation of home security systems, to be specific, home security cameras. This is because the burglars and criminals know for a fact that even if they succeed in pulling of their crimes, they will still be caught in the end because their actions were recorded on camera. That is why most of the criminals would choose to rob another house once they notice a security camera in the house they are presently in or see warning signs that the house is under video camera surveillance.

Another benefit of a home security camera would be the fact that the owner of the house would be able to view first who is the visitor at the front door before they decide to open it. This will help the owner get rid of unwanted guests and even report to the authorities if a suspected criminal is knocking on the front door. The latest models of home security cameras even have a two-way radio feature wherein the owner and the guests at the front door can communicate back and forth. The owner also has the option to program or record an audio message that will play to announce denial of entry to unwanted guests.

Top 5 Reasons For Home Security

Top 5 Reasons For Home Security

Security System

In today's world, no one can dispute the importance of home security. Yet, many people still fail to realize all the ways that a home security system can benefit them. Therefore, you will find a list of the top ten reasons why every person, every home, and every family should have some sort of home security system or plan.

The number five reason for home security is that the idea of home security can often deter a burglar from entering your home. A sign in the yard, a sticker on the window, or a visual of a piece of home security equipment located around your home is often the first sign for a person that is trying to break into your home to move along to another home.

Most people who are trying to steal will look for the easiest home to enter. They want to make a robbery happen as quickly and quietly as possible. Therefore, any signs that your home will not have easy access will send them to the next home or offer them the opportunity to give up all together.

Another reason for home security is that it will lower your home owner's insurance. The more personal steps you take to ensure the safety of your residence, the less of a risk you are to your insurance agency. Many times, your insurance company will discount your policy for your added security. A home security system may also increase the value of your home, depending on the type of system.

The third reason why home security is a vital asset to your home is that it will alert the proper authorities of any emergency. Many home security systems now come with carbon monoxide detectors and can be connected to your smoke detectors as well.

In the event of a medical emergency, you can often push a contact button on your keypad, which will allow your contact center to communicate with you and notify the local hospital or emergency crews of your situation. Although this is never a feature you hope to use, it is a benefit of having a home security system nonetheless.

One of the most important reasons for home security is that is protects your assets. Everyone has item in their home from a home theater system to family heirlooms that are treasured. Some of those are considered priceless in the emotional ties that they hold. No matter which type of priceless they are, there is no reason why they should go unprotected.

However, the top reason for a home security system is to protect your family. Your family, whether it's one, three, or ten other people, is your most valuable asset. Members of your family, including your spouse, your children, or your parents cannot be replaced.

More importantly, the innocence that any one of those people has cannot be given back after the first time that your home is burglarized and their most prized-possession has been taken. Thankfully, it is a moment that you can prevent.

Home Security - The Right Way to Strengthen Your Apartment Security

Home Security - The Right Way to Strengthen Your Apartment Security

Security System

You will be solely accountable for providing your home with a good security system, to ensure that no burglary or theft takes place there. Get to know in what way or manner to take care of your family. Use these nine tips to better secure your apartment.

Designing an efficient video camera security system might be a problematic process for the average person. Consider getting help from a consultant to give advise on how the system should be set up. The reality is there are several wifi systems that might be installed in an apartment fairly inexpensively. Wireless security alarm systems may easily be expanded so if you can not pay for a full supplied system with sensors in each room in your home then invest in a standard system and add to that if and when you funds becomes better. Check that your home security system comes with a technical support system because it could take a while to configure it and you might need to have somebody who understands these types of alarms well to be able to manage them. If you rent or lease your security alarm you will pay out a smaller once a month charge for that rental or lease and unfortunately your once a month burglar alarm observation charge. You should get rid of the indicators that might specify that you've got simply no security within your apartment and much valuable items waiting around to get taken. It is also crucial for you to be aware that a plan for local community security will be able to typically help to keep children more secure as well. A home security system could be a direct line to 911 -- the authorities, fire department, or ambulance. Purchase a peep hole on your apartment door! for this you require agreement, if you currently have one be certain it's always clean and usable! make sure to see who's there prior to open the door! In some systems there are panic alarm buttons.

In the end it is up to you to make sure that your apartment is safe to live in. If you are in doubt you can always have a security company consultant go through your home and advise on how you can improve your safety. Just remember that a company consultant is normally paid by commission, so be sure he is not selling you something that you do not need.

Home Security System - DIY Style!

Home Security System - DIY Style!

Security System

Have you ever wanted to have the capability of seeing who was at your front or back door without actually going to the door and opening it. As part of home security 101 we preach of course that everyone should have a peephole and use it. That is a good first step.

But beyond that is having the capability to actually see who's there on a cctv setup in your own home.

The idea is relatively easy and is a great way to increase security for your home and help in the prevention of home invasion.

Using a hidden or surveillance camera and a cctv monitor you can greatly increase protection for your family.

Most home invasions are accomplished by simply getting in thru the front or back door. If you can see who's there, it will give the homeowner a tremendous advantage.

HERE'S HOW TO DO IT.

Install a surveillance camera over or near your front or back door-or both. Make sure the camera is designed for outdoor use and at least weatherproof. Dome cameras are usually the best for this use. Some have extra protection against vandalism. They are small and inexpensive. Hook your cameras up to your DVR or VCR.

The cameras can be wired or wireless-wired is best for this application.

Then connect a cctv LCD monitor to the DVR or VCR that can be located anywhere in your home. Most monitors can view at least 4 cameras. You can place the monitor near the doors you are watching or further away in a den or family room.

This setup gives you added security for your home and your family. It is relatively inexpensive and very east to set up.

So to find out who's at your front or back door without going to see who's there get the equipment, hook it up and rest easy-a real DIY home security system.

Security Systems Protect the Home and Now a Wireless System Allows you to Protect Your Autos

Security Systems Protect the Home and Now a Wireless System Allows you to Protect Your Autos

Security System

Protecting a home is often the first thought after moving in and make the decision to install an alarm system and what gets forgotten is the garage. But what about the unattached garage, can that be protected too and how can this be done?

Today most vehicles have alarm systems and we take it for granted when one goes off that it is just a mistake and one that gets on our nerves if it is a nice quite day and a horn starts blaring.

This is one main reason why it makes sense to use an alarm system in the garage, autos are expensive investments and many people also have motorhomes, motorcycles, and classic cars. It has become an easy task to ensure that these vehicles stay safe from thieves and home security companies have made it all possible with their wireless system sensors on the windows of the garage, sensors on the doors and a telephone line, your cars and other vehicles no matter how expensive will be protected. They can not only be protected from thieves but also from smoke and fire, as well as water leaks and flooding and many unattached garages have sinks and even laundry facilities in them and should these water pipes spring a leak it may go unnoticed for hours or even days until the leak becomes a real problem.

These sensor work when set by alerting the monitoring system control panel if one of the windows or doors that they are attached to is opened, of course if it is a family member there is a small amount of time allotted to key in the security code to disarm the alarm system. If this is not done then the control panel will alert the monitoring center that there has been a break-in at the home and the authorities will be set out to check on the property.

This can all be done without installing wiring and can give the garage all the protection it needs and added with the home security system, motion lighting and even cameras can give the entire property protection from thieves and auto thefts are on the rise in every area even the areas that are said to be the safest to live.

Its easy to be safe in the home and in the garage with a wired or wireless system.

Video Surveillance Systems For the Home

Video Surveillance Systems For the Home

Security System

Historically, the idea of having video surveillance systems for a residential home hasn't really been a reality for many people due to the high cost of such systems. In the last number of years, with technological advances and the drastic reduction in costs for most electronic equipment, home security camera systems have come much more into the price range of many average home owners. As such, many people who are concerned with protecting their families and their property have begun looking into home video surveillance systems. The main goals of such a system are two fold; first, as a deterrent to keep criminals at bay, and secondly, if the first part doesn't work, they have recorded evidence to try to help catch and prosecute the perpetrator.

Let's take a quick look at what is involved with Video Surveillance Systems (sometimes referred to as simply VSS)

Again, when using video surveillance systems, the idea may be to let people know that they are being watched in order to keep them in line. Or, on the other hand, it may be preferred to NOT let them know they are being watched so you can see their true behavior. An example of the first situation may be having a video camera on the outside of the house to try to scare away would be burglars. An example of the latter would be having something like a "nanny cam" to see what your nanny or baby sitter is really up to when they are supposed to be watching your kids, as well as how they treat your kids (this is especially useful when the kids are very, very young and can't report back to you yet).

The first set up described above is known as an Overt System. Obviously the whole point is to have the cameras be very obvious. In fact, many people protect their property with overt systems which actually incorporate the use of fake security cameras. The idea with a fake security camera is that a thief sees it and decides it's not worth the risk of targeting your home because he will probably get caught on tape. The beauty is, a fake camera looks very real but doesn't cost nearly as much as a real system. The down side to this is that criminals aren't necessarily the brightest folks on the block, and many won't bother to look around and notice these cameras. If that's the case and they do break into your home, you won't have anything to help you identify and or prosecute them the way you would if you had had a real video surveillance system in place as part of your residential security system.

Like so many things, it's a balance you need to decide on between efficacy and efficiency. Your call.

Obama anon to Disclose Top Secret Files Anti-Gravity Technology (by AlienScientist) Video Clips.

Will Obama Declassify X-Files on Anti-Gravity? May 1, 2009 (Obama's 100th day in Office) has passed, but hope is not lost for the Disclosure Movement: www.faxonwashington.org (now in phase 2) www.whitehouse.gov If the Secret Government does not come forward with the truth about aliens and their technology, then the people will have to create it ourselves and prove it is real! www.ehow.com www.wikihow.com tinyurl.com Does Obama have any real power? Or does a "Secret Government" maintain control over it? ......... FAX: 202-456-2461 www.whitehouse.gov President Barack Obama 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington, DC 20500 Dear Mr. President, I am writing you this letter in response to your recent decisions to probe deeper into anti-gravity technology and the so called "X-Files", which in all probably are hiding some amazing and beneficial technologies that I think the American people are more than ready for. In terms of the National Security Risk Factor associated with disclosing material related to the UFO/extraterrestrial phenomena, I want to point out that many of us already know the truth were just waiting for the Government to come forward and admit to it. As an avid UFO researcher, I have come across a few things that I would really like your National Security and Intelligence team to probe deeper into: 1. NASA was ordered to hand over documents in response to a March 27, 2007 federal Court ruling by Judge Emmet G. Sullivan (Case#1:03CV02509) regarding the Freedom of ...

Reporters threatened with arrest for filming clandestine Federal Reserve building

Reporters threatened with arrest for filming clandestine Federal Reserve building On YouTube.

www.infowars.com prisonplanet.tv Reporters from INFOWARS.COM were harrassed and threatened with arrest in downtown Kansas City, Missouri after filming the local branch of the private Federal Reserve building. Security guards working for the bank approached the reporters at a city park that houses the National WWI memorial and demanded that they provide their names and disclose why they were filming the building. After Aaron Dykes refused to provide his full name, he was told to leave public property immediately or face arrest because the bank was concerned about what he was filming-- despite the fact that the female security guard repeatedly admitted he had done nothing wrong. In the face of Free Speech under the First Amendment, as well as common sense, the other reporter, Rob Jacobson was also told to leave despite complying with the request to provide his name. "Officer Booth", the female private security guard for the Federal Reserve, dared to pronounce that he was "guilty by association." When this reason was challenged, the stupified "Officer Collins" told reporters that they were not to ask anymore questions and should in fact leave immediately. What jurisdiction they had-- if any-- is unclear, as the cameramen were approached on city property. The Federal Reserve-- who have branches at some 38 locations across the country-- have repeatedly trampled on the rights of free speech and attempted to challenge anyone daring to film their building. It is clear they regard ...
