OSIRIS asteroid 1999 RQ36 and Rex can hold back the samples for clues about the origin of the solar system and life on Earth. For the mission, NASA has led the team of Principal Investigator Dr. Michael Drake of the University of Arizona selected. NASA GSFC manages the mission. Lockheed Martin built the spacecraft.
